The Perfect Rib-eye

In under 10 min you can cook a perfect rib-eye. This is the formula to make a perfectly delicious rib-eye steak every time, enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Bone in Rib-eye Steak
  • Sea Salt
  • Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
  • 1-2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Fresh Thyme
  • Fresh Garlic slightly crushed
  • 2 Tbsp butter

Method
 

  1. Remove steak from refrigerator and let rest for at least 20 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Heat cast iron skillet on medium high heat.
  3. Season steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides (don't forget to season the perimeter of the steak as well).
  4. When skillet starts to show a sign of smoke drizzle with olive oil. Make sure the pan is well coated with oil.
  5. Lay steak(s) in pan to cook.
  6. Add thyme and fresh garlic.
  7. Flip steak after first minute .
  8. Use tongs to rub garlic across the steak for even more Flava!!
  9. Add butter to pan with garlic and thyme
  10. Use butter mix to baste steak (continuing to flip every minute)
  11. Remember to sear the strip of fat along the side.
  12. Remove steak in about 8 minutes for a perfect medium.
  13. Let rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice against the grain.
