Supreme Salmon Patties

Time for the best salmon patties ever. Made with freshly baked salmon and a blend of seasonings mixed and pressed into patties then pan fried until golden brown. This salmon patty recipe reigns supreme, Enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh salmon filet
  • 3 Tbsp Olive Oil divided
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
  • ½ yellow onion diced
  • ½ red bell pepper diced
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp sweet chili sauce Optional but good

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425° F.
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Place salmon in the center (skin side down), drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes until just cooked through.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil for 10 minutes.
  6. Flake salmon with forks discarding skin and any bones then set aside to cool to room temperature.
  7. In a medium sized skillet heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil and 1 Tbsp butter.
  8. Add onions and peppers. Saute about 5 minutes until golden. Remove from heat.
  9. In a large mixing bowl add flaked salmon, Sautéed Veggies, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, parsley, 1/4 tsp Salt, pepper and garlic powder and sweet chili sauce if desired.
  10. Mix together with a wooden spoon or with your hands.
  11. Form into patties about 2 in wide and about 1/3 to 1/2 in thick.
  12. In a large nonstick skillet heat 1 Tbsp oil and 1 Tbsp butter.
  13. Once hot, add salmon patties and saute 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  14. Place finished patties on a paper towel lined plate and repeat until finished.
  15. Serve with rice, Jumbo Biscuits and Alaga Syrup or on Brioche Buns. Oh yeah...
