Roast Beef Po Boy Slow Cooker

This is the tenderest roast beef you've ever had. Spiced up in a thick gravy and slow cooked till it's falling apart in a thick gravy, you'll thank us after the first bite, enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 2-3 lb Black Angus shoulder roast beef
  • 1 Tbsp The Blend by Kinder's
  • 1 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 4 Tbsp all purpose flour divided
  • ΒΌ cup of oil
  • 1 small yellow onion diced
  • 3 cups beef stock divided
  • 6 French rolls
  • 1-2 tomatoes sliced
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Mayo

Method
 

  1. Let beef roast reach room temperature for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Season both sides with The Blend and Montreal Steak Seasoning on all sides.
  3. Follow with a Dusting with 2 Tbsp of all purpose flour.
  4. Heat oil on medium high heat in a large cast iron skillet and sear roast on all sides about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Set on plate and let rest.
  6. In same skillet saute diced onions a couple minutes until translucent.
  7. Add second half of your flour.
  8. Slowly stir in 1st half of the beef stock.
  9. Continue to stir in stock until it begins to thicken. Season with salt and pepper and taste it.
  10. Place roast in slow cooker. Pour over Gravy and remaining beef stock.
  11. Cook on high for 4 hours.
  12. Remove roast, shred with 2 forks.
  13. Return shredded roast to slow cooker and cook for an additional hour and a half.
  14. To build sandwiches, add mayo to French roll.
  15. Add shredded lettuce.
  16. Add tomato slices to top of bun, layer shredded roast beef to bottom bun.
  17. Serve with your favorite chips if desired.
