Orange Glazed Salmon

This orange glaze turns your salmon from ordinary to a work of art. Made with fresh oranges and golden honey, then glazed onto oven baked salmon this orange glazed salmon is sure to please, enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Salmon fillets
  • 1 Tbsp butter or olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Pinch of garlic powder
  • ½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice the juice of about one large orange
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp cornstarch whisked with mixture to create a slurry for a thicker glaze

Method
 

  1. Season salmon with salt, pepper and garlic powder on both sides.
  2. Melt butter in in large skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Cook salmon 3-5 minutes skin side up or until golden brown.
  4. Flip Salmon and cook an additional 3-4 minutes or until fish reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  5. Remove salmon to a plate and tent with foil to keep warm.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium on same skillet.
  7. Whisk together all of your orange glaze ingredients together on a bowl.
  8. Add to skillet and simmer for about a minute until sauce thickens into a beautiful glaze.
  9. Return Salmon to glaze and baste well.
  10. Serve with Jasmine Rice if desired.
  11. Add orange slices for garnish
