Most Tender Beef Tips and Gravy

Beef tips, mashed potatoes, and gravy what more than you need. Easy and straight to the point beef tips and gravy are a hardy combination, enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds cubed Angus Beef Stew meat
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil separated
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 10 ½ ounces beef broth
  • 10 ½ ounces French Onion Soup Condensed
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Gravy thickener
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch
  • cup water

Method
 

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper generously. Sear beef in small batches with one Tbsp of olive oil in a deep pot or Dutch oven oven medium high heat. Set aside.
  2. Heat the remaining olive oil in the same pot and add your chopped onions and cook until soft(about 5 minutes).
  3. Add beef, French Onion Soup, broth, bay leaf and Worcestershire Sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 2 hours or until fork tender. Check at the hour and a half mark.
  4. Combine cornstarch and cold water gradually. Whisk together and add to thicken gravy. Give it a taste. Add seasoning if needed (probably not).
