Method
- Make sure mushrooms are clean. You can use a damp paper towel to clean them.
- Heat a pan on medium high heat.
- Add olive oil. Cook one side of a large clump of mushrooms.
- Lightly season with salt. You can use a heavy cast iron skillet to press down on the mushrooms to help brown them.
- Once mushrooms are slightly brown you can flip them and brown the other side.
- To season your mushrooms you can add your soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce.
- Add Poultry seasoning, smoked paprika and cayenne pepper.
- Mix then add your maple syrup. Give it a toss and a taste.
- You can cut your mushrooms into smaller pieces if you like.
- Turn off the heat. Add more seasoning if needed. Serve immediately.
