Make the perfect Smash Burger with Baconnaise sauce

This Bacon-naise sauce will enhance any burger and pairs exceptionally well on a smash burger. A simple blend of mayo, spicy mustard, and bacon takes your smash burger to the next level, enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20
  • Brioche Buns
  • American Cheese slices
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 4 slices cooked bacon chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for toasting buns

Method
 

  1. Preheat large cast iron skillet on medium high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together mayonnaise, chopped bacon, Dijon Mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Divide ground beef into 4oz portions.
  4. Shape into loose balls (don't compact too much). Season with salt and pepper. Smash into burgers.
  5. Once the skillet is hot, place burgers in the skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes until edges are crispy and browned.
  6. Flip patties and add cheese. Cook another 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted.
Assemble burgers
  1. Spread butter on bread and toast buns.
  2. Spread a generous amount of the Bacon-naise sauce on the bottom bun.
  3. Add Burger and top with any additional ingredients (lettuce, tomato, etc.) Top with other bun and serve immediately.
