Method
- In a large Dutch oven melt butter and 1 Tbsp Olive Oil.
- Saute onions until translucent.
- Add garlic and saute another 30 seconds.
- Add Italian sausage and cook on medium heat until browned and no longer pink add seasoning and combine well with onions and garlic.
- Add tomato paste. Mix
- Add chicken broth and diced tomatoes. Stir and cover and reduce to a simmer.
- Taste and add more seasoning if needed.
- Add Lasagna pieces and cook about 10-12 minutes.
- Add whipping cream and fresh basil. Turn off heat.
- Garnish with Ricotta cheese ball.
