Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon

This salmon recipe is made with a salmon filet, simmered in a buttery honey garlic glaze. It's as deliscous as it sounds a must try. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  

For the Salmon
  • 4 Salmon Filets
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp butter divided
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the Honey Garlic Sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ stick of butter melted
  • 1 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • Juice of 1 small lime
  • Lime wedges for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a  small bowl, mix together ground cumin, paprika, Italian seasoning, Old Bay Seasoning, salt and pepper.
  2. Season both sides of the salmon generously.
  3. In a medium sized bowl mix together honey, soy sauce, lime juice and melted butter. Whisk together well. Set aside.
  4. In a large skillet heat olive oil and 1 Tbsp butter over medium high heat.
  5. Cook salmon (skin side up) 3 to four minutes. (Fyi -you may want to cook salmon in batches to prevent over crowding the pan).
  6. Flip salmon and cook for another 4 minutes or so until almost done.
  7. Set Salmon on warm plate.
  8. In the same pan melt 1 Tbsp butter.
  9. Add garlic for about 30 seconds then return Salmon (skin side down).
  10. Pour Honey Garlic Sauce over the Salmon and base the tops with the sauce for about 2 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  11. Remove from heat.
  12. Garnish with sliced green onions lime wedges.
