Chicken Shawarma Marinade recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs cubed try with veggies/equally DOPE
  • ¼ cup Olive oil i used extra virgin
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 garlic cloves smashed
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 11/2 tsp cumin
  • 11/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • ¾ tsp ground ginger
  • ¾ tsp dried oregano
  • ¾ tsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Mix Shawarma Marinade: Add the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, honey, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, oregano, turmeric, cayenne, salt, and cracked black pepper in a bowl and whisk to combine.
  2. Marinate: in a zipper-lock freezer bag place chicken or veggies etc. Pour Shawarma Marinade over and refrigerate. At least an hour overnight even better.
  3. Grill on medium-high heat on skewers or however you desire. 5-10 minutes until done. Rotating frequently.
  4. Served on pita, over rice or salad with roasted veggies, pickled red onions, tzatziki, or yogurt dressing.
