This Bacon-naise sauce will enhance any burger and pairs exceptionally well on a smash burger. A simple blend of mayo, spicy mustard, and bacon takes your smash burger to the next level, enjoy.
Smash Burger Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- Brioche Buns
- American Cheese slices
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 4 slices cooked bacon chopped
- 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for toasting buns
Directions
- Preheat large cast iron skillet on medium high heat.
- In a large bowl, mix together mayonnaise, chopped bacon, Dijon Mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Divide ground beef into 4oz portions.
- Shape into loose balls (don’t compact too much). Season with salt and pepper. Smash into burgers.
- Once the skillet is hot, place burgers in the skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes until edges are crispy and browned.
- Flip patties and add cheese. Cook another 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted.
Assemble burgers
- Spread butter on bread and toast buns.
- Spread a generous amount of the Bacon-naise sauce on the bottom bun.
- Add Burger and top with any additional ingredients (lettuce, tomato, etc.) Top with other bun and serve immediately.
