
Crispy Baked Orange Chicken Wings

Ingredients
For the chicken
- 2 ½ lbs chicken wings (drums and flats separated tips removed
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tbsp black pepper
- For the sauce
- 1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 ½ teaspoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
- 2 ½ teaspoons crushed red pepper
- ¾ cup orange marmalade
- ¼ cup hoisin sauce
Method
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Rinse wings (flats and drums) and pat dry.
- Transfer to a bowl and toss with vegetable oil salt and pepper.
- Position wings on baking rack in a single layer.
- Bake rotating halfway through until fully cooked 45-50 minutes.
- Remove wings and transfer to a large bowl.
- Add sesame oil and olive oil to a saucepan over medium low heat.
- Add garlic and ginger and cook until golden brown (about 3 minutes).
- Add red pepper flakes, orange marmalade and hoisin sauce. Cook stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes.
- Pour orange sauce over wings, tossing to thoroughly coat and serve immediately.
