The best spicy fish nuggets you’ve ever had. These spicy nuggets are made with real Peri Peri seasoning and chunks of fish fried golden brown, enjoy.
Spicy Fish Nuggets
Ingredients
- 1-2 pounds Alaskan Cod or your favorite white fish cut into bite-sized chunks
- 4 Tbsp all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 egg beaten
- 2 Tbsp milk to blend with egg beaten
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- Vegetable Oil for frying
- 2 Tbsp Peri Peri seasoning or Big Chuurch spice Blend
Big Chuurch Spice Blend:
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp of each
- Suga
- Paprika
- Onion Powder
- Garlic powder
- Ground coriander
1/2 Tbsp of each:
- Salt
- Dried Oregano
- Dried parsley
- Black pepper
- Mix spices together well
Directions
- Mix Olive Oil and vinegar together in a small ramekin. Drizzle over fish.
- Season with spice blend and dust lightly with flour.
- Prepare dredging station. Mix panko breadcrumbs with remaining flour.
- Dip each piece of fish in the egg wash then into the panko mix and on to a plate.
- Place plate in the freezer for 30-40 minutes before frying.
- Heat vegetable oil to 350°F.
- Fry nuggets in batches if needed. 2-4 minutes or until golden brown and done.
- Allow to drain on paper towel lined baking sheet with rack to maintain that crispy!
- Serve with tartar sauce and lemon wedges.
