Move over rib-tips there’s a new kid in town, smoked turkey tips. This is a great recipe on how to turn turkey into smoked turkey tips that rival the original, enjoy.
Traeger Smoked Turkey Tips
INGREDIENTS
- 6-8 pounds boneless skinless turkey thighs cleaned and pat dry with paper towel
- 1/2 Tbsp of each:
- Granulated garlic
- Cajun Seasoning
- Black pepper
- 1 Tbsp Kosher Salt
- 1/3 cup Budweiser Bold and Savoy Marinade (if available)
DIRECTIONS
- Generously season turkey with dry seasoning. Place in a large tub or container.
- Pour over Marinade and massage in well. Let marinate at least an hour or up to overnight.
- Preheat Traeger to 275°F. Add wood pellets. I used a blend of hickory and Competition blend.
- Place turkey on grill smooth side down, close lid and cook for and hour and a half checking at the one hour mark.
- Flip after an hour and a half and let smoke for another hour and a half or until internal temperature reaches 165°F and tender.
- Remove turkey to a plate, cover with tented foil and let rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Slice into bite-sized tips. Toss on your favorite sauce.
