Pepper Steak
Ingredients
- 1lb Thin sliced steak(round, flank or sirloin)
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil (divided)
- 2 peppers (1 red, 1green) thin sliced or cubed
- 1 onion sliced
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 Tbsp Sriracha
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
Directions
- Pre-cut your steak and vegetables and set aside in separate dishes.
- Mix your soy, cornstarch, brown sugar and spices together and place in the refrigerator until ready for use.
- Using a large skillet, heat 1 Tbsp of oil over Medium high heat. Toss in vegetables for 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Heat the other Tbsp of olive oil over Medium high heat. Add your meat and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until starting to brown.
- Add vegetables back in as well as your glaze mixture and cook for another 2 minutes just until it starts to thicken. Remove from heat.
- Serve over a bed of rice.
