Sticky Savory Orange Chicken Kabobs

Kick up you grill game with this deliscously sticky orange chicken kabob recipe. Made from fresh squeezed oranges, brown sugar, and other goodnes this marinade brings a savory sweet goodness to your meat whether grilling or baking. Sticky savory sweet orange chicken kabobs are as tasty as they look, enjoy.

 

Sticky Savory Orange Chicken Kabobs

 

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • For Orange Sauce:
  • Juice of 3-4 navel oranges
  • Zest from 1 navel orange
  • 6 garlic cloves minced
  • 11/2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (reduced sodium)
  • 2 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 5 Tbsp brown sugar

Directions 

  1. Combine all ingredients for Sticky Orange Sauce In a large bowl.
  2. Whisk together and set almost a cup to the side for later basting.
  3. Cut each chicken piece into 3’s.
  4. Place chicken pieces in Orange Marinade for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile preheat a grill to high heat.
  6. After at least 30 minutes of marinating, place chicken pieces on skewers (if wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes).
  7. Cook chicken Kabobs on grill, turning frequently until meat is done (golden brown).
  8. Heat the remaining sauce on low just until sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Brush chicken with orange sauce on both sides when almost ready to come off of the grill.
  10. Serve with Salad or desired side.
