The Nacho (Grilled Cheese/copycat)
Ingredients
- Leftover Chili(works great, just about 1/2 cup should do)
- Sourdough Bread 2 slices
- 2-3 Onces Fontina and Gouda cheese(shredded)
- Pickled jalapeños (4-6 or as many as you desire)
- Cilantro just a pinch/torn
- Tortilla strips (as many as desired/ I used about 10)
- Mayo 2 Tbsp
- Cast Iron Skillet and spatula
Directions
- Prepare Chili the night before.
- Shred cheeses and put a thin layer on both slices of bread.
- Spoon a thin layer of chili over the cheese on one side of bread.
- Place a few jalapeños over the Chili layer.
- Place a layer of torn cilantro over the jalapeños.
- Layer a few tortilla strips, close Sandwich and place on preheated cast iron(medium high heat).
- Grill to a slight brown on each side then add a thin layer of mayo to each side a grill for a total of 4 flips.
- Check the inside to ensure cheese has melted, remove from skillet, slice in half,
