Kenny’s back in the kitchen making lasagna pinwheels, you may have had lasagna before but not like this! It’s a tasty and creative spin on the lasagna dish a definite must-try. Enjoy!
Lasagna Pinwheels

Ingredients
- 1/2 onion diced
- 1 1/2 lbs turkey sausage
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp basil
- red sauce
- 3/4 cup ricotta cheese
- lasagna noodles
Directions
- In a large pan heat 2 tbsp oil and add 1/2 onion diced (med-low heat)
- Simmer 2 min until translucent
- Add sausage to pan and season with fennel seed, Italian seasoning, and basil. Break up meat and brown over med heat (5 min)
- Drain oil from browned meat, reduce heat to med-low and add red sauce and simmer 30 min
- Prepare lasagna pasta
- In a bowl combine 3/4 cup ricotta cheese and 1 egg. Whip until creamy
- Place a spoonful of whipped ricotta cream onto pasta and spread to cover the entire surface
- Follow by covering with Parmesan cheese and meat sauce
- Roll pasta as tight as possible and repeat with the remaining pasta
- Cover bottom of a baking pan with meat sauce and line pan with lasagna pinwheels
- Cover pinwheels with a cup or two of cheese
- Preheat oven to 450 and bake for 20-25 min until golden brown
