
KK's Award Winning Turkey Chili
Time for a treat, Kenny's turkey chili this chili dish grows tastier with time. Made with ground turkey or 80/20 ground beef and a special spice blend this chili will keep you coming back for more, and each time will be better than the last. For an extra treat serve it in a hollowed cornbread muffin, enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs ground turkey
- 1 small yellow onion diced
- 1 green pepper diced
- 1 red pepper diced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 3 Tbsp Olive Oil separated
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp Chipotle Chili powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp tomato paste
- 1 10 oz can fire roasted tomatoes diced
- 1 10 oz can tomato soup
- 1-2 10 oz can s Chili beans and/or black beans drained and rinsed.
- 1 cup chicken broth or stock
- 1 box cornbread of your choice
For garnish
- 1 Jalapeño pepper grilled
- Sour cream dollop
- Shredded cheese of your choice
Method
- Heat 1 1/2 Tbsp oil in a large pot or Dutch oven.
- Brown ground turkey on one side for about 3 minutes on medium high heat. Flip and break up meat.
- Add diced veggies and garlic to the mix.
- Add tomato paste. Combine well then add fire roasted tomatoes and stir in well.
- Add tomato soup, chicken broth and beans stir and simmer for at least 30 minutes.
- Bake box cornbread according to package directions.
- Hollow out with a small bowl to make cornbread bowl.
- Fill with chili and garnish with shredded cheese, grilled Jalapeño and dollop of sour cream.
Note: You can saute garlic and veggies in a separate skillet in 1 Tbsp of oil for even more flavor.
The longer the better. Chili will even taste better tomorrow.
