Honey Garlic Lemon Pepper Chicken

No need to order take-out when you can make amazing honey garlic lemon pepper chicken at home. Juicy chicken covered in a lemon pepper seasoning then glazed and baked with a freshly made honey lemon sauce, what more could you ask for. Enjoy
Honey Garlic Lemon Pepper Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4-6 Chicken thighs (bone in)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

For Glaze

  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2-3 Tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup water or chicken stock
  • 1 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • Juice of half a lemon (slice the remaining half for garnish)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Wash Chicken and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl mix dry seasoning ingredients then add olive oil and combine.
  4. Generously season chicken and let marinate at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).
  5. Place chicken on wire rack baking sheet. Bake about 30 minutes per side.
  6. In a medium sized skillet or saucepan melt butter over medium low heat.
  7. Add garlic, honey, water or chicken stock, soy sauce, lemon juice and lemon slices. Reduce heat to low, simmer and stir until sauce thickens.
  8. Baste chicken with Honey Garlic Lemon sauce and place back in the over for 4-5 minutes until sauce is Caramelized.
  9. Remove and serve with favorite sides.
