Hawaiian Ribeye Steak

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2lb Ribeye Steaks

For Marinade

  • 16 ounces fresh pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 piece of ginger grated
  • 1 stalk scallion
Direction
  1. In a medium saucepan combine all Marinade ingredients. Bring to a boil then immediately simmer for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat. Set aside a half cup to reduce for a sauce at the end of the grilling process. Let cool.
  2. When Marinade has Fully Cooled down add steaks in a plastic freezer bag, pour in marinade, and let marinate for at least 30 minutes or even overnight as I did.
  3. Heat grill on high or cast iron grill plate on medium-high heat. Grill Steaks for 5-6 minutes per side (quarter rotate halfway through for fancy grill marks).
  4. In a small saucepan bring extra Marinade to a simmer until it reduces and thickens a bit. Baste Steaks last 30-40 seconds of cooking.
  5. Let Steaks rest on a plate for about 10 minutes before serving.
