Spoil your guest with these grilled lamb burgers with feta cheese. Take ground lamb, season with spices like mint and garlic, then blend it with feta cheese into patties and grill. Enjoy.
Grilled Lamb Burgers with Feta
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/4 cup flat leaf parsley
- 10 fresh mint leaves
- 7 fresh basil leaves
- 1 red Jalapeño pepper
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon
- 1 cup Feta cheese crumbles
Directions
- Cut red Jalapeño stem off and remove seeds. Set aside.
- In a medium sized bowl add ground lamb, salt, pepper and dried oregano. Mix to combine.
- Add herbs, Jalapeño, garlic cloves, and 2-3 two inch pieces of lemon zest into a food processor. Pulse several times to combine
- Add to your lamb.
- Add Feta cheese to the lamb mixture and gently combine the ingredients together making sure not to over mix.
- Divide lamb into 4 burger patties. Set aside.
- Preheat grill to around 400°F.
- Oil grates and grill burgers for 3 minutes on the 1st side covered.
- Flip and grill 4 minutes covered.
- Then back on the 1st side for an additional minute.
- Remove from the grill and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- Toast buns or Pita bread and serve with salad and Tzatziki sauce.
