Fried Chic-Ken Skinz
IngredientsÂ
- 2 lbs bone-in chicken thighs, legs, or breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup vegetable oil
DirectionsÂ
- Remove skin from chicken. Place chicken in a freezer bag for future use.
- Wash Chicken skins and pat dry with paper towels.
- Place chicken skins on a flat surface and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Next toss skins in flour. Shake off excess flour and place skins on a wire rack.
- In a large skillet heat oil to medium-high heat (350 degrees).
- Place skins in hot oil (don’t overcrowd the pan).
- Cook for 3-5 minutes flipping and watching carefully. Skins will float to the top when crispy and ready.
- Once skins are golden brown place them on a wire rack to drain oil. Add additional spices if needed.
