Fried Chic-Ken Skinz

If you like pork skins you gotta try chicken skins. Better than potato chips these snacks are easy to make and have plenty of protein so give it a try, chicken skins

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs bone-in chicken thighs legs, or breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Method
 

  1. Remove skin from chicken. Place chicken in a freezer bag for future use.
  2. Wash Chicken skins and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Place chicken skins on a flat surface and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Next toss skins in flour. Shake off excess flour and place skins on a wire rack.
  4. In a large skillet heat oil to medium-high heat (350 degrees).
  5. Place skins in hot oil (don't overcrowd the pan).
  6. Cook for 3-5 minutes flipping and watching carefully. Skins will float to the top when crispy and ready.
  7. Once skins are golden brown place them on a wire rack to drain oil. Add additional spices if needed.
