Fried catfish is a southern classic and Kenny’s gonna shows how to make fried catfish better than your momma, enjoy.
Fried Catfish
Ingredients
- 4 Catfish Fillets
- 2 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour (Optional)
- 2 Tbsp of each:
- All Purpose Seasoning
- Black pepper
- Lemon Pepper
- Cajun Seasoning
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- Vegetable Oil for frying
Directions
- Clean fish and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl add cornmeal and seasonings.
- Dredge fish well and set on a plate.
- Heat oil to 350° F.
- Fry fish in batches 4-5 minutes until crispy and golden.
- Remove and place on a rack.
- Serve with baked Spaghetti if it’s Friday. Be sure to have some extra hot sauce for dipping.
