French toast has long been a breakfast favorite. This recipe delivers a great traditional French toast that the whole family will crave, enjoy.
French Toast
Ingredients
- 6-8 slices Brioche loaf
- 4 large eggs
- 3-4 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp oil
Directions
- In a medium sized bowl combine eggs, heavy whipping cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and salt.
- Whisk together well.
- To a medium sized skillet add oil and melt butter over medium heat then reduce heat to medium low.
- Dip each slice of bread to French Toast mixture on both sides.
- Place bread in skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side.
- Place on plate in oven on warm. Repeat process.
- Serve with your favorite maple syrup and fresh fruit if desired. I desired lol!
