Crispy Baked Orange Chicken Wings

IngredientsÂ
For the chicken
- 2 1/2 lbs chicken wings (drums and flats separated, tips removed
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tbsp black pepper
- For the sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
- 2 1/2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
- 3/4 cup orange marmalade
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
InstructionsÂ
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Rinse wings (flats and drums) and pat dry. Transfer to a bowl and toss with vegetable oil salt and pepper. Position wings on baking rack in a single layer.
- Bake rotating halfway through until fully cooked 45-50 minutes. Remove wings and transfer to a large bowl.
- Add sesame oil and olive oil to a saucepan over medium low heat. Add garlic and ginger and cook until golden brown (about 3 minutes).
- Add red pepper flakes, orange marmalade and hoisin sauce. Cook stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes.
6. Pour orange sauce over wings, tossing to thoroughly coat and serve immediately.
