Cajun Crab Cakes with Creamy Cajun Sauce

Ingredients
Cajun Crab Cakes
  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp Cajun Seasoning or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp of your Favorite hot sauce
  • 1 Tbsp spicy whole grain Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Juice of a lemon
  • 1 stalk of celery chopped
  • 1 shallot chopped
  • 1 Serrano pepper chopped
  • 1 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley
  • 2 Tbsp butter
Cajun Cream Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp whole grain spicy mustard
  • 1 Tbsp your Favorite hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Pickled Jalapeño peppers
  • 1 Tbsp diced celery
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl combine breadcrumbs,  Cajun Seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the egg, mayonnaise, hot sauce, mustard, Worcestershire, lemon juice, celery, shallot, Serrano and parsley.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into the dry and mix with a fork. Add crab meat and hand mix. Form into 6 crab cakes and set them on a large plate.
  4. Next make your Cajun Cream Sauce by processing your mayonnaise, mustard, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, pickled jalapeños, celery, Cajun Seasoning, lemon juice and garlic in a food processor until smooth consistency. Pour into a bowl and refrigerate until ready for use.
  5. Bring a large pan to medium heat and add butter. Add crab cakes and cook 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown. Serve with Cajun Cream Sauce and lemon wedges.
