Southern Style Breaded Catfish
Ingredients
- 2 catfish fillets
Breading mixture
- 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
- 1-2 tsp flower
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
Directions
- Mix breading ingredients in a bowl
- Add fish fillets and breading mix to bag and shake to evenly cover the entire fillet
- Preheat skillet or deep fryer (med-high heat)
- Fry fillets 3-5 min per side in a skillet (6-8 in the deep fryer)
- Place on a drying rack for a crispy coating
