The Big Chuurch Chicken Pitas is easy to make at home and a healthy alternative to fast food. Our Chicken pita is prepared with chunks of custom seasoned white meat and pan seared veggies on pita bread. Yes it’s as delicious as it sounds, enjoy.
Big Chuurch Chicken Pita
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized chunks
- 1/2 small onion finely chopped
- 1/2 red bell pepper diced
- Pita bread
- 2 Tbsp oil plus a little more for pitas
- 4 oz Colby Jack cheese shredded
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 Tbsp fresh cracked black pepper and salt
- Or you can use The Blend by Kinder’s if available (it’s Fire)
- Ranch dressing (just a drizzle optional)
Directions
- Heat a large cast iron skillet to medium high add oil.
- Once skillet is hot add onions and red bell peppers. Saute for about 2 minutes
- Add chicken.
- Add seasoning and mix with veggies.
- Continue to cook for 4-5 minutes until no longer pink.
- Add cheese and mix well.
- Meanwhile in a separate skillet add 1 Tbsp of oil and warm over medium/high heat
- Toast pita bread on both sides.
- Scoop a healthy portion of chicken mixture into your pitas, drizzle with ranch if desired and serve immediately.
