Here’s a great combination I’m sure you’ll luv, bang bang shrimp egg rolls. This recipe takes bang bang shrimp and turns it into a golden brown crispy egg roll. Packed with flavor this is sure to be a fan favorite.
Bang Bang Shrimp Egg Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 package egg rolls
- 1 egg
- shredded cabbage
Bang bang shrimp
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1-2 Tb sriracha sauce
- 1/2 Lb shrimp
- Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup corn starch
- 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1 Tb smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
Bang bang sauce
- 1/3 cup mayo
- 1 1/2 Tb chili garlic sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp Sriracha sauce
- 2 Tb sweet chili Thai sauces
- 1 Tb agave or honey
- 1 1/2 tsp rice wine vinegar
Directions
Bang bang shrimp
- Add 1-2 Tbsp Sriracha to 1 cup buttermilk and mix until it is fully blended
- Using thawed shrimp season well with Old Bay, Cajun, or another seasoning
- Add shrimp to buttermilk mix and marinade for 30 min.
- In a large bowl combine 1 cup corn starch, 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs, 1 Tb Spanish paprika, 1/tsp garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp onion powder. Mix well
- Add marinaded shrimp to breading and cover completely

- Add marinaded shrimp to breading and cover completely
- Preheat 1/2 in. of oil in a pan over med-high heat.
- Add shrimp to hot oil and cook 1 1/2 min per side, only until slightly browned
- Blend bang bang sauce ingredient to create the sauce
- Mix fried shrimp with sauce blending well
Roll’n the egg roll
- Make an egg wash with 1 egg and several Tbsp of water
- Brush egg wash onto edges of spring roll
- Add shredded cabbage to the center of the roll and drizzle with bang bang sauce or premix.
- Add several bang bang shrimp and cheese (optional)
- Tuck in corners and roll
- Preheat oil in a skillet on medium heat
- Cook in oil for several minutes until brown turning occasionally
