Manna Sandwich

The Manna sandwich is a mighty meal sent from heaven. Kenny takes you into his kitchen to dismantle this monstrous mound of meat and cheese so you can create it at home. TasteDis!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Lb ground chuck
  • 2 Tb onion powder or onions
  • 2 Tb water
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tb dried parsley
  • 1 ½ tsp dried basil
  • French or sweet Italian roll
  • Swiss cheese
Come-back sauce
  • ½ cup mayo
  • ¼ cup French or Catalina dressing
  • 2 ½ cups catsup
  • 2 Tb brown mustard
  • 2 Tb sugar

Method
 

  1. In mixing bowl combine Come-back sauce ingredients
  2. Mix well making sure sugar crystals  full dissolve
  3. Refrigerate for several minutes
  4. Preheat pan over med-high heat
  5. Add ground beef and brown until pink is gone
  6. Drain excess oil and fat and return to med heat
  7. Add onions (or powder), water, soy sauce, garlic powder, dried parsley, and dried basil
  8. Blend seasoning into meat and simmer on med flame for 10 min
  9. Take French bread or roll and carefully cut out the center section
  10. Drizzle come-back sauce onto the roll
  11. Add a heaping serving of seasoned meat
  12. Top with more come-back sauce and Swiss cheese
  13. Preheat over or broiler to 300
  14. Bake sandwich several minutes until cheese is melted
