Grilled Lobster Tails
Ingredients
- 5-6 lobster Tails about 4-6 oz each
- Garlic Butter
- 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter
- 1-2 lemons
- 2 garlic cloves minced or thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pinch of Cayenne pepper
- Handful of parsley chopped
Directions
- Preheat your grill with charcoal on one side to enable you to grill lobster over indirect heat.
- With a set of kitchen sheers cut lobster open along the top of shell up to just where the spreading tail fins begin. Slowly pull shell apart with thumbs and use your fingers to carefully separate lobster meat from the shell.
Keep attached to fin at the bottom and lay lobster on top of the shell. - Season lobster meat with Old Bay or rub of your choice. Set aside.
- In a pan place garlic butter ingredients and place on the grill for a few minutes. Stir to combine. Move garlic butter to indirect heat side.
- Place Lobster Tails over the direct heat side at first. After the first 2-3 minutes the fin should turn a pretty orange color. Rotate lobster to the indirect heat side and grill until lobster reaches an internal temperature of about 140°F dripping garlic butter over the top.
- Oh yeah, once garlic butter has melted and combined you can put some grill marks on the lemons(makes for a gorgeous presentation).
Serve immediately!
