Most Tender Beef Tips and Gravy
Ingredients
- 2 pounds cubed Angus Beef Stew meat
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil (separated)
- 1 onion chopped
- 10 1/2 ounces beef broth
- 10 1/2 ounces French Onion Soup(Condensed)
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Gravy thickener
- 3 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1/3 cup water
DirectionsÂ
- Season beef with salt and pepper generously. Sear beef in small batches with one Tbsp of olive oil in a deep pot or Dutch oven oven medium high heat. Set aside.
- Heat the remaining olive oil in the same pot and add your chopped onions and cook until soft(about 5 minutes).
- Add beef, French Onion Soup, broth, bay leaf and Worcestershire Sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 2 hours or until fork tender. Check at the hour and a half mark.
- Combine cornstarch and cold water gradually. Whisk together and add to thicken gravy. Give it a taste. Add seasoning if needed (probably not).
